Firefighter Fundraising

Each year, the Athens Fire Department must upgrade their life saving equipment.

Everything from our fire trucks, fire hoses, telescoping ladders to our protective fire equipment needs to be replaced.

We do not have a large community tax based budget to draw on … but we still face similar fire service responsibilities of some larger townships.

Therefore, we must look elsewhere to maintain the tools necessary to be a fully effective fire department.

We need your help. Whether you’re an individual or a company, you’ll benefit directly from our fire department services.

Please give generously.

From time to time, the fire department members will organize and run fundraising events in our community.

Part of your generosity may well include your time. We need support volunteers to operate and assist our firefighters at these events.

The next local event, is the June 2006 Firemen Competitions, held right here in Athens. We will need several volunteers from the community to make this event a success.
