Each year, the Athens Fire Department must upgrade their life saving equipment.
Everything from our fire trucks, fire hoses, ladders to our protective fire equipment needs to be replaced.
We do not have a large community tax based budget to draw on … but we still face similar fire service responsibilities of some larger townships.
Therefore, we must look elsewhere to maintain the tools necessary to be a fully effective fire department.
We need your help. Whether you’re an individual or a company, you’ll benefit directly from our fire department services.
Please give generously.
From time to time, the fire department members will organize and run fundraising events in our community.
Part of your generosity may well include your time. We need support volunteers to operate and assist our firefighters at these events.
The next local event is the June 16 2007 Firemen Competitions, held in Maitland. Why not plan to make it a day and come out and cheer for your fire department.
With respect to financial contributions, here is a list of items and their approximate cost of acquisition.
